Periodontic Treatment

Periodontic treatment is recommended for patients who experience an advance form of gingivitis, which can be simply described as an inflammation of the gums. In periodontitis disease, your gums can create pockets or spaces that can be infected and a cause of pain and discomfort. This can lead to bacterial infection below the gum line that can damage the structure of your teeth and in worse cases lead to tooth loss. Our Periodontic treatment includes a through procedure for eliminating gum disease for healthier gums that retain the proper functionality of your teeth.

How It Works

Gum graft Surgery:

Is a procedure when they will take the gum tissue from you or another source to cover the exposed root or even your gum line and reduce sensitivity.

Gingivectomy:

Is the removal of gum tissue (gingiva) by surgery it is commonly used to remove overgrown gum tissue and improve the appearance of gums.

Frenectomy:

Is simply the removal of frenum in the mouth. Frenum is found under the tongue and underneath the center of the upper lip.

Gummy Smile Treatment:

Is a surgical sculpturing of the gingival tissues and bone to create healthier and more attractive looking gum contours.

Halitosis (Bad Breath):

It means you have an unpleasant smell on your breath. It usually comes from gums or debris that builds up within the mouth. Usually the most effective treatment is improving your dental hygiene, as part of your daily routine.

  • Brush your teeth and gums.
  • Floss between your teeth.
  • Clean your tongue.

Root planning and curettage:

Is used to clean the parts of teeth, which are below the gum-line and cannot be reached with a toothbrush. This can result in gum disease and gum ‘pockets’ can start to develop around the teeth. This means that the bone supporting the teeth can become lost. It is used to clean out the gum ‘pockets’ and remove plaque and tartar from the tooth roots.

Crown lengthening:

Is a surgical procedure to expose a greater amount of tooth structure for the purpose of subsequently restoring the tooth. This is done by incising the gingival tissue around a tooth and after temporarily displacing the soft tissue, predictably removing a given height of alveolar bone from the circumference of the tooth or teeth being operated on.

Laser dental treatment:

Is the most precise, least traumatic, and will heal with less post-operative pain than most other techniques.

Orthodontic Treatments for Adults

With an increased awareness of the benefits of a beautiful smile, almost 50% of our Orthodontic patients are now adults. Such patients require only minor tooth movement, and others, major surgical cases with dento-facial deformities. Because adult are no longer growing, treatment is approached differently than with children.

Our Specialist Orthodontists carefully formulate adult treatments, after offering their patients different options based on their dental concerns. Many adults in Dubai do not want to have regular braces due to social concerns. In such cases, we offer INVISIBLE LINGUAL braces and INVISALIGN aligners.

Facemask or reverse-pull headgear:

Is an orthodontic appliance typically used in growing patients to correct under-bites (technically termed Class-III orthodontic problems) by pulling forward and assisting the growth of the upper jaw (maxilla), allowing it to catch up to the size of the lower jaw (mandible). Face masks or reverse-pull headgear needs to be worn between 12 to 22 hours per day, but typically 14 to 16 hours a day is effective in correcting the under-bite.
